The Pastil Chair was designed in 1967. It received the coveted American Industrial Design Award in 1968 and can be found in numerous museum collections. The New York Times described the Pastil Chair as "the most comfortable forms to hold up the human body".
The Pastille is literally the shape of a pill with the central section scooped out to create a relaxed seating area.
